Incoming server type       --->POP3

POP3 server                   --->pop.gmail.com

POP3 port                      --->995

APOP login                    --->Ticked

Secure Connection          --->SSL

Download limit                ---> On Your Choice--

IMAP4 incoming email    --->New

Retrieving option             --->Subject only  or the whole message

Keep on server               --->Ticked

My email address            --->Your Gmail id

User name                      --->Your Gmail id again

Password                        --->Your Gmail Password

POP before SMTP         --->Unticked

SMTP auth,                    --->Ticked

Same as POP3/IMAP4   --->Ticked

Select save.

Sending Options

From                     --->Your name

Send account        --->Gmail

Priority                  --->Normal or whatever you want

Rest of the options you can Tick according to your wish, it doesn't affect your ability to send and receive mail :) Save all

Receiving options

Download limit      --->5 MB or as you wish

Auto Polling          --->ON to recieve mail every specified interval, OFF to manually check for mail

Polling Frequency  --->Period of time to check for mail

Send read report   --->Tick to send a report that the senders mail has been read

Block address       --->Block emails from the listed ids

Block subject        --->Block emails with the specified subject

Select save.

        Use of ActiveSync to sync your contacts,tasks,email and calendar 

               Here are the settings if you are using Gmail

                                         Step1.

  Go to Menu--->Exchange ActiveSync--->Sync settings--->Server  settings

                Server URL --->m.google.com
                 User name   --->your Gmail id
                 Password    --->your Gmail password
                 Domain       --->google
                  Use SSL     --->ON

                  Select save.



             In Sync settings, select Sync schedule

Peak schedule         --->Select as you wish, select push to receive mail as soon as it reaches your Gmail inbox (This makes your net connection active all the time)
Off-peak schedule  --->I've set mine to 4 hours. My off-peak time is set to when I'm sleeping.
Peak days              --->Select the days you want to receive mail according to your peak schedule.
Peak start time       --->Time from which you wish to receive mail according to peak schedule.
Peak end time        --->Time upto which you wish to receive mail according to peak schedule.
While roaming        --->Best if "Manual" is selected. Unless you don't mind paying heavy cash :)

Select save.

Next is Email options

Exchange ActiveSync   --->ON
Date range                   --->1 day
Email size                     --->5 kb or anything according to your wish
Notification                   --->ON
Signature                      --->Your Choice..

Select save.

That's it! You can receive email on your Corby
